Privacy & cookies
This notice covers fixphonespeaker.com, the nBeats Rescue website. For questions about how we use data or to make a privacy request, contact the nBeats team at support@fixphonespeaker.com.
You can use our audio tools without accepting analytics. lets you accept, reject or withdraw optional analytics at any time.
Audio and microphone tools
Our microphone test asks for your browser’s permission only when you start it. It analyses sound levels on your device. Our test does not record, store or upload your microphone audio, and it stops the microphone when you stop the test or leave the tool. Browser microphone permission is separate from your analytics choice and can also be revoked in your browser settings.
Speaker tests generate sound in your browser or play audio files delivered by this website. You do not need an account or to provide a name to use them.
Optional Google Analytics
If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics to understand which pages and audio tools are useful and to identify problems. Analytics can include pages visited, tool starts and completion, language or device choices, browser and device information, approximate location, and identifiers stored in analytics cookies. Google also receives connection information when your browser contacts its service. We do not send microphone audio or the text you type into our guide search as analytics events.
Our consent control blocks the Google Analytics tag until you opt in; it does not send analytics pings while you are undecided or have rejected analytics. We disable Google Signals and advertising personalization in our tag configuration. The URLs supplied by our own tracking code omit query strings and fragments.
Your permission is the basis for this optional measurement. Rejecting analytics does not limit the tools. Withdrawing stops future analytics from this site and clears its accessible analytics cookies. It does not automatically erase information already sent to Google; contact us about a data request. Google Analytics event retention is controlled by the property’s account settings; cookie lifetimes below are separate from that retention. Contact us for details about retained analytics data.
Google processes analytics data on its infrastructure, which may involve processing outside your country. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from partner sites.
Cookies and device storage
We store your choice, its date and the notice version locally on your device. We ask again after 180 days or when a new consent version is introduced. Clearing browser storage can also reset the choice. If storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page session.
| Storage | Purpose | Lifetime | Choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| nbeats-privacy-choice Local storage | Remembers your privacy preference, date and notice version. | Valid for 180 days; replaced when you save a new choice. | Necessary to remember your choice. |
| _ga and _ga_* First-party cookies | Google Analytics visitor and session measurement. | Configured for up to 180 days, without automatic renewal on visits. Browser restrictions may shorten this. | Only after accepting analytics. |
Old analytics cookies from the earlier automatic setup are cleared when no valid consent is present or when you reject analytics. Your browser’s own cookie controls can remove stored data too.
YouTube and external services
The original YouTube video stays unloaded until you choose “Load YouTube video”. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which receives connection and device information and may use storage under its own policies. This is a separate choice from site analytics. Use “Close YouTube video” to remove the embedded player; this cannot delete storage owned by Google. Our main rescue audio and our hosted how-to video do not require the YouTube player.
Links to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and other external websites take you to services governed by their own privacy terms.
